8. From the dashpot equipped carburetor,

move the dashpot check valve retainer,
check valve
ball and checkvalve spring. Discard
the check valve
ball and spring. These parts will
be found only in
carburetors using the earlier type
dashpot as de
scribed on pages 10 and 11.

9. Lightly scribe both choke plates
along
the choke shaft and mark them and
their corre
sponding bores with numbers or letters
to insure
proper placement in reassembly.

lock
