Seat Operates Sluggishly
This can be caused by some
mechanical trouble or by some
failure in the electrical units or
circuit wiring.
First make sure that the seat
tracks are not dirty or other-wise
obstructed.
See that all fastenings are snug
and that no moving parts in the
assembly are deformed or badly
worn.
Check both adjusters for proper
alignment. A cocked adjuster
may cause binding.
Check the electrical circuit for
defective wiring. Repair or
replace any loose or frayed
wires. Tighten all connections.
Be sure there is no paint under
the ground wire terminals. Worn
or dirty motor brushes can
cause sluggish operation. If this
condition is suspected, test the
adjuster motors for current draw
as described on page 25.
