INTRODUCTION
This booklet covers complete
instructions for servicing power
window regulators and power
seats which are offered as
optional equipment on 1954 Ford
cars.
The mechanisms and electrical
circuits used for window
regulation and seat adjustment
are not complicated or difficult to
service.
However, a thorough under-
standing of basic operating
principles is necessary in order
to diagnose the causes of
various troubles and remedy
them quickly and efficiently.
This booklet amplifies the in-
formation contained in the 1954
Supplement to the Car Shop
Manual, and provides a source of
study and ready reference for
servicing power window
regulators and power seats.
There are three sections-one
devoted to the windows, another
to the seats, and a Service Guide
section which condenses trouble-
shooting information for easy
reference.
