7. With choke coil lever aligned with boss inside choke housing, install intermediate choke lever and retain with screw (Figure 47).

8. Install new choke housing to carburetor gasket.

9. Position choke housing on throttle body and retain with (2) screws. Tighten securely.

10. Install choke housing baffle plate.

11. Install choke housing cover with gasket and stat coil with end of coil below choke lever plastic tang. Adjust thermostatic coil as outlined in 9D-3 Section of the Delco Carburetor Parts and Service Manual (9X). Install (3) cover screws and retainers. Tighten evenly and securely.

THROTTLE LEVER

12. Install vacuum break and bracket assembly to air horn using two attaching screws. Tighten securely.

13. Connect hose from choke vacuum break to fitting on throttle body.

14. Position choke rod into upper choke lever and into fast idle cam (Figure 48).

15. Install upper choke lever onto choke shaft.

21. Install vacuum break and bracket assembly to air horn using two attaching screws. Tighten securely.

16. Install fast idle cam to throttle body, retaining with fast idle cam screw. Tighten securely.

22. Connect hose to choke vacuum break and to fitting on throttle body.

17. Position vacuum break rod and intermediate choke rod into vacuum break lever.

23. Position vacuum break rod into diaphragm plunger and in choke lever. Retain with clip where used.

18. Position intermediate choke rod into intermediate lever. 19. Hook vacuum break rod into vacuum break.

24. Install choke lever to choke shaft, aligning flats on lever with flats on shaft - tang on lever faces outward. Install attaching screw and tighten securely.

20. Install vacuum break lever and retaining screw. Tighten

screw securely.
