3. MASTER REPAIR KITS
Certain parts are subject to wear
during
operation or may be damaged in disassembly.
The Holley Master Repair Kit contains
replace
ments for all such parts. The disassembly
pro
cedure includes instructions to
discard all items
for which replacements are provided
in the Master
Repair Kit. The proper Master Repair
Kit for this
carburetor is listed in the current
Holley Carbu
retor Parts Catalog - Ford, Mercury,
and Lincoln
Division. (Section II, Division
C.)
B. Disassembly - Main Body from
Throttle
Body - All Carburetors.
This carburetor consists of two
major sub
assemblies, the main body assembly
and the throt
tle body assembly. Separation of
these two major
subassemblies is the first step
in the disassembly
procedure.
The following list contains all
parts removed
in disassembling the main body from
the throttle
body. Parts which are to be discarded
and re
placed from a Master Repair Kit
are marked with
an asterisk.
4. DISASSEMBLY
A. Preparation
A separate container should be used
for the
parts and castings of both major
subassemblies -
the main body assembly and the throttle
body as
sembly. The use of separate containers
will
facilitate cleaning, inspection
and reassembly.
