1. INTRODUCTION

To properly overhaul the carburetor, it must be completely disassembled, and each part must be cleaned and inspected for wear, deterioration, and damage. All defective parts should be discardedand replaced with genuine Holley replacement parts. The following overhaul procedure is easily accomplished, using afewfactory approved special carburetor tools. The use of these tools are strongly recommended to prevent damage to parts. However, if special tools are not available the carburetor can be overhauled using good ordinary hand tools with a reasonable amount of care.
